All You Need To Know
HOW MUCH DO THE CASTLES COST?
Each castle has a different rate and can be hired out for 4, 6, or 8 hours. Check out ‘Our Castles’ page.
HOW LONG CAN I HIRE THE CASTLE OUT FOR?
Castles are hired out for 4, 6 or 8 hours (usually from 9-5 pm).
DO YOU DELIVER THE CASTLES AND WHAT IS THE COST?
Yes. We deliver the castles free to venues within 20km of our base. Exceeding this distance will incur mileage costs, please enquire about this.
CAN I SET UP THE CASTLE MYSELF?
No, our insurance cover requires only staff of Carter’s Castles to collect, operate, and install bouncy castles to hire. Remember, this is one less thing you need to do and think of when you are busy getting ready for a party, leave it to us!
CAN WE HIRE THE CASTLES OVERNIGHT?
No, we do not hire the castles overnight.
HOW MUCH ROOM DO I NEED TO SET UP THE CASTLE?
The castles are different sizes. Please refer to 'Our Castle' page for each castle's size.
DO THE CASTLES HAVE TO BE SET UP ON THE GRASS?
The castles can be set up on the grass or in an inside venue such as a hall. Please let us know when booking so we have the correct gear for setting up. In outside venues, we require a level stable area free from such things as exposed tree roots, rocks, pebbles, sharp stones etc to avoid damage to our castles. You will also need to check the area above the castle for such things as tree branches, structures (i.e. roof extensions). These will be also checked by us before setting the castle up.
WHAT DO WE NEED TO HAVE TO USE THE BOUNCY CASTLES?
Each castle comes with a 25m outdoor power cord so you will need to have a power point within this distance of where we set it up. This attaches to the electric blower which needs to be running continuously for the castle to be blown up.
DOES SOMEBODY NEED TO SUPERVISE THE CASTLE BEING USED?
Yes, adult (over 18 years of age) who is responsible for supervision. Our Safety instructions are on the conditions of Hire Tab.
IT LOOKS LIKE RAIN! NOW WHAT DO WE DO?
Castles are not delivered or set up in heavy rain or strong winds. If this is the case there will be no cancellation fee however we would appreciate 24hrs notice if you decide to cancel. If it rains later during the hire period, we reserve the right to come and pack up the castle or if you contact us. A refund will then be up to our discretion.
WHAT IS THE WINTER FEE AND WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY IT?
The winter fee is a non-refundable fee that applies to bookings made for an outdoor event in June, July and August only. These months often are the wettest and it takes longer to clean and dry out the castles.
WHY IS A CANCELLATION DEPENDENT ON 48HRS OF FINE WEATHER AFTER MY HIRE DURING THE WINTER MONTHS?
We take pride in the cleanliness and appearance of our castles and in order to keep our castles meeting our standards, it is vital we are able to clean and dry them ready for our next hire. If a castle gets wet, unseen moisture within the castle can cause mould if we can’t get it dried out after your hire in the next day or two.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
A deposit maybe requested for large bookings or in the busy season. We will let you know when making your booking if it is needed.
DO I NEED TO PAY A BOND?
From September to May a refundable bond of $50 will be added to your hire. This will be refunded within 48 hours if there is no extra cleaning needed. During the winter months (June-August) a winter non-refundable fee applies to any outdoor events. You will be responsible to pay any additional payments to do with repairs or replacements if necessary, (see hire contract).
HOW DO I PAY?
We require payment through Internet Banking or cash before setting up. Please use your invoice number emailed to you as your Reference.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HIRE A BOUNCY CASTLE, NOW WHAT DO WE DO?
Go onto ‘Our Castle ’ page and find a bouncy castle you like. Check the size of your space and make sure the castle will fit. Decide on whether you want 4, 6, or 8 hours and the date you want it. Now email us through our 'Contact us' page or call us on 0211377353 to make sure it is available and make a booking. We will ask you to provide an email address and phone number and discuss the contract, and payment. It’s that easy!
HOW MANY CHILDREN CAN GO ON A BOUNCY CASTLE AT A TIME?
The castles are restricted by weight and each castle can cope with a different total of weight. The average number is about 8 children but it is really important you know the castles limits before using them as your children’s safety is the utmost importance. Check out ‘Our Castle’ page.
ARE THE CASTLES SUITABLE FOR ADULTS?
No! Carter’s Castle's Bouncy Castles are only suitable for children. Check out ‘Our Castle’ page to see specifics on children’s age.
WHAT IF WE HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE CASTLE WHEN WE’VE HIRED IT?
If you come across any issues with the castle while hiring it please contact us immediately on 0211377353 so we can help as soon as possible.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BOUNCY CASTLE?
If we consider the damage to be caused by neglect of the contract signed by the user we will forward costs of repairs and/or replacement to you. The terms of contract are stated on this website and you will be given a copy to sign when it is set up.
